Biography
Cleveland Heights artist, Gretchen Gaede spent many years designing for companies in the fields of wallpaper, fabric, home decor and giftware. In 2008 she shifted gears altogether and opened up her own Gallery, Gretchen’s Gallery in Chautauqua Institution, Chautauqua N.Y. At that time the Gallery featured solely her original photography with an emphasis on pattern, color and texture. She has received many awards and is found in private and public collections nationally. The Gallery has now grown to showcase over fifty artists working in all mediums. Gretchen has now combined both of her artistic fields and creates photographic images on canvas that she then hand-paints with acrylic, giving the pieces a uniquely dimensional look. All ready to hang but also able to be displayed on tabletop. All are one of a kind.
