Biography
After graduating from preparatory school, Allison moved to Santa Fe, NM to pursue her studies in Studio Art and Art History. Immersed in the the local culture, community of artists, and the expansive beauty of the desert, Allison drew inspiration from her surroundings and created paintings, sculpture, and photography. After college, she moved to the East coast to pursue a career in massage therapy and esthetics, and continued to paint and take photographs. Her earlier work was inspired by nature, specifically by the textures and colors found in the natural world and a few years ago, she discovered alcohol ink painting. Since discovering and exploring the inks, she has grown to value the vibrancy, movement, and the fluidity of the medium. In 2019, Allison opened Soul Play Arts, a small, self-operated painting business, where she showcases, commissions, and sells her alcohol ink paintings on Etsy and Instagram.
