Biography
Marla Dawn Kassoff is a mixed media artist, who loves to experiment with new ideas. She attended the two-year foundation courses at The Cleveland Institute of Art, and earned her master’s degree in Art Education from Case Western Reserve University.
Her recent work features hand-painted ceramic tiles, using both alcohol-based inks and paint markers. These tile paintings were born during the pandemic of 2020, and continue to develop throughout 2021. She paints the people she sees virtually as well as images from outdoor nature walks. Connecting with people and nature continues to feed her creative soul throughout these unprecedented times.
