Biography
Wally Kaplan's work has a moody, eternal feel influenced by her personal and emotional connections to her subjects. Her work has been shown in many juried and solo exhibitions throughout Ohio including The Ohio State Fair Exhibition, Ashland University National, Cain Park Gallery, University Hospitals, the NewNow, Solon Center for the Arts, OSU-Mansfield All Ohio Exhibition, Lakeland May Show, Fairmount Annual Exhibition, Chagrin Valley Art Annual, and many others. She has been published in the National Susan B. Komen Calendar and the AGC "52 Weeks, 52 Works" Calendar. One of her judicial portraits hangs in the US Federal Bankruptcy Court, Akron OH.
Wally grew up in Florida but Cleveland has been her home for over 45 years. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a BA in English Literature but found her passion in her love of drawing. Her work can be seen at her studio in the ArtCraft Building or on her website.
